I do not agree with the observation that a second pair of
Indras does not make as large a difference as the first pair.
I have 2 pairs -- one pair of single-ended between my VAC
Renaissance Signature Mk II preamp and VAC Renaissance Signature
70/70 amp, and one balanced pair between my preamp and
Electrocompaniet EMC1 UP CD player. I also have a pair of
PGS-3D single-ended interconnects between the CD player and
preamp. There is a large, very noticeable difference
whenever I switch (on the fly) between the PGS and Indra
interconnects. It is not a subtle difference, which is all
the more amazing in light of the fact that the PGS-3D is an
outstanding interconnect in its own right. The M-21 is marginally
faster and has marginally wider soundstage than the PGS-3D, but it
is not as delicate and pleasing in terms of overall tonal balance
as the PGS-3D. In addition, it is much more forward in its
presentation than the PGS-3D. I definitely preferred the
PGS-3D in this application when I didn’t have the Indra… Al
